Healthy Popsicles

We recently had a family home evening about the Word of Wisdom and decided that we are eating too many treats. So we made up a sticker chart and if we don't eat any treats each day we put up a sticker. If we do well all week, on Friday we get to each pick a treat. The girls are really great at it (so far). Every time we are at the store they remind me, "No treats!" Kamber (my little sweettooth) gave me a hard time on Thursday because I bought a cake mix to make for someone I was bringing dinner to. I am so proud of them! (Oh, the power of stickers!)

But, being that it is spring (some days), we have been enjoying eating popsicles (especially Kendi). So, I came up with a little idea that works for both our sticker chart and our love of popsicles-- healthy popsicles!

I purchased one of these little doo-hickeys,

poured in some Juicy Juice and voila! Healthy popsicles! They even taste really good.

Really?

Kindergarten graduation. Really? Are you serious? Why do we "graduate" from Kindergarten, but just move up in every other grade?

And caps and gowns? You have got to be kidding me. Of COURSE she will look absolutely ADORABLE-- but really? And then they have the nerve to charge you MORE than school pictures if you want a GRADUATION picture.

I guess I should just be thankful they didn't make us BUY the caps and gowns.

Happy Mother's Day to Me!

For Mother's Day this year I got myself a present. The week before I started letting Kendi cry it out during the night and by Mother's Day-- a full night's sleep! Yay! And now she is sleeping all through the night. A FABULOUS milestone!

So I had this great idea that I would have the girls make Mother's Day cards for all their grandmas. This they did, but. . . I never sent them out. So here are your digital Mother's Day cards!!! (Don't you LOVE computers?)

Saturday

For some reason, every Saturday I somehow still think that I am entitled to some sort of a vacation from my "job." Not suprisingly it doesn't quite work out that way and by about half way through the day I start feeling very sorry for myself because I don't get a day off. Huh.

And on top of all of that, all my blogging friends must actually have lives because very few actually post or read my posts on Saturday. Very depressing.

Anyone else experience the Saturday blues? Oh, never mind. None of you are there anyway. ;0)
