The Terrible Twos!

Well, they are finally here.  The Terrible Twos! 

Her latest:

Giving herself bangs and sideburns (on one side!).

What in the world can I do with this mess?

Nenni. . .

My little baby is not really a little baby anymore.  She is perfectly the size of a stair.

She loves her stripe jammies.  And cleaning my floor.

And she calle herself Nenni.

And is basically potty-trained.

Love that little girl!

Watch Kamber in her last game of soccer. . .

Keen of the Woold!

Last week, Kira and Kamber taught Kendi to climb on top of the bleachers, raise her arms in the air and say, "Keen Woold!"  (Queen of the World).

One morning, her and I were playing the game, as she climbed up on the couch.  Later in the day, we were out running errands.  We passed the temple and had the following conversation:

Kendi points and says, "Ta-temp!"

Me:  "That's right, it's the temple."

Kendi ponders a moment, points at the Angel Moroni and says, "Keen woold!"

Out of the mouth of babes. . . 

A New Fave. . .

We recently got a Jamba Juice here in Twin-- and it is a big hit!

We just have a hard time deciding which is our favorite flavor. . .

First Day of School

Kira, headed off to second grade with her new Twinkle Toes shoes.

And Kamber headed off to her very first day of Kindergarten!

They are both loving school so far and Kira is really excited today to have her first ever hot lunch (it's Friday-Pizza Day)!

I can't believe how big they are getting, but I am glad they are enjoying themselves.  And it has been so fun to have a little one-on-one time with Kend.  She is a kick!

Hope the year goes as well as it has started. . .

Soccer

Our first soccer game for the season. . . on August 30th-- and it was freezing!  Everyone was in blankets.

After the last season of soccer, I was sure that I was done.  

As in, no more soccer mom for me!

And then, I started practicing with the girls, and watching their practices and games. . .

And I feel kinda hooked.

I guess we will see how it goes when it is the end of September and snowing during the games. . .

Has it really been seven years since that day when you came into our lives? That day brought many changes to our little family-- and many challenges as well.




And we wouldn't change one minute of it!

My Baby. . .

Little Kend turned 2 last month. How crazy that she is already that old!

That little one came at a crazy time and presented some crazy challenges in our lives. Any my, what a stinker she was as a baby! And yet, we love every little piece of her and always have.

Prayer Time

We are all kneeled in a circle, and Kamber is saying her prayers.

Pretty soon we hear the pitter-patter of little feet and this:

"Uck, uck,

GOOSE!"

Rocket Express

Rocket Express-- the longest, fastest car wash in the counrty!

Right here, in Twin Falls.

Why, you ask?

Very good question. I have absolutely no idea! But the girls love it--so who cares!

And Then She Was {almost} Two. . . .

The terrible two's have struck in full force!

1:00pm- refusal to take a nap {screaming, crying}

2:00pm- Sharpie marker episode {more crying}

2:30pm- reorganize Mom's purse {smashed-up crackers EVERYWHERE}

3:00pm- seam ripping {my sewing chari!!!!}

I need a nap! Now, if only I could get her to go to bed. . .

Why, oh why did we wait so long?

Summertime. . .

First day of swim lessons. . .

My timid little Kira, did awesome! And of course, our little fish, Kamber did, too. The only one that struggled with the whole thing was Kendi-- she wanted to swim, too! At 56 degrees outside, I wasn't up for swimming yet. . . Blah!

Hello? Hellll-OOOOO?

So. . . yes, we are still alive. We have just been in hibernation, as it is apparently still winter here in Idaho. Fortunately this past week it has warmed up a few degrees and the snow has turned to rain and we are slowly starting to emerge. I'll try to get some pictures of something interesting in the next few days to share.
