On Kira's birthday, Kendi also had her 13 month birthday (I know, I know-- I'm behind!). On that day she decided walking might be worth trying. She walked across the room and hasn't looked back since. Her little fists are always in the air in the shape of a 'w' to help with her balance.
She now likes to walk with something in her hands, be it clothing, dvd, whatever. Her favorite is to carry around a pretty big and heavy stuffed dog which makes her extremely frustrated because, well, because it's big and heavy! ;0)
One of her favorite passtimes is trying to dress herself. She is SOOO proud of herself if she manages to get some clothing item over her arm and parades around the house showing everyone.
She has 5 scraggly little teeth that she loves to show off when she smiles.
Dancing is another favorite of hers. And, boy! does she get into it! Whenever the music is going, she bounces-- I'm talkin her WHOLE body! So funny!
Her words include wa-wa (water), woo-woo (woof-woof), mmmmm (moo), brmmm (vroom)-- and that's about it. She hasn't found a need to talk much, as she is extremely talented at pointing at the wanted/needed item and saying "Uh!" We all know what that means-- and it works.
She still fits in her 0-3 month clothes, but I have started putting her in a little bigger ones, too. She is now a good little sleeper-- sleeping through the nights and takes one long nap in the afternoon.
The entire family adores her and she is spoiled rotten already. Love you, Baby!
