Help! Brandon & I are walking Zombies!

Does anyone have any good ideas to get my little one to sleep longer at night? Every hour and a half just isn't working for us. And yes, she is eating A TON! At this rate she will be 20 pounds by 2 months! I just can't get her to sleep longer than an hour and a half at a time for most of the night, although she does fall asleep fast. Any suggestions?

We use air cleaners in each of our boys' rooms. They clean the air which is nice but the real reason we have them is for the white noise they make (like fan noise). This noise seems to soothe them, plus it drowns out noise from the TV and other siblings outside their room. The other thing we did with Travis was to take turns getting up at night for feedings. Angela always had some milk pumped so that Brian could help with night feedings. You could also try not responding to every cry or at least not very quickly. If they're forced to figure things out on their own they learn how to soothe themselves and can learn to put themselves back to sleep. It's hard for a while to endure many minutes of crying, but it can really help the baby learn valuable skills.

We swaddle and that really helps. For some reason they sleep so much better. I've also noticed that sometimes Cardston will wake up before he really needs to eat so I'll just lay him next to me and he'll sleep for 2-3 more hours. Nights that I really need some sleep I do that. He does take a binki and that helps soothe him back to sleep. With Brampton we would just let him sleep in the swing some nights b/c he slept so much better. Might try that. Also, I'm not sure if Kendi sleeps on tummy or back...Brampton slept so much better on his tummy...so I let him...he started sleeping through the night before he was 2 months old. Good luck. I've also heard that some people will do a bottle of formula(you can even add rice cereal) before the baby goes down for the night. Fills them right up. We did that one night (b/c Ev's mom was watching him) he slept for 8 hours. Yes, my chest was engorged and sore...but I didn't mind. It might just be that she is not getting enough. Maybe she isn't feeding long enough to get your fatty milk?? Not sure. I just know that they say to feed for at least 15-20min on a side so that they can get the real fat milk that fills them up.
