Soccer Pictures!

Sorry, I didn't remember my camera last week. Here are some of Kira's pics. The headband is cute, right? It has cute little dragonflies on it in honor of the team name- The Dragonflies.

The Newest Soccer Mom!

Today was Kira's first soccer game. Yeah! Kira's team, the Dragonflies, has purple uniforms. So, of course, Kendi, Kamber and I all wore purple to support the team. It was kind of a long drive to the field and there was construction on the way and the parking lot was super crowded and it was hard to find where her field was and I forgot sunscreen and I wasn't sure I wanted to be a soccer mom. But then the game started. It was so fun to cheer on my little Kira!!! Her team did great. Most of the girls have played before this season, so Kira has a little catching up to do as far as figuring out what she is supposed to be doing during the game. Most of the time she just ran around after the rest of the girls. Once in a while she just stood there, looking around. The coach and I kept trying to tell her to go steal the ball. She didn't really seem too worried about doing that until this GIANT girl comes in for the other team. She definetely didn't look 5, more like 7 and sturdy, if you know what I mean. Anyway, when Giant comes into the game, Kira finally decides it is time to start really playing. She takes off after this Giant girl and steals the ball from her!!! Crazy kid! But all in all, it was so much fun-- I guess I might make it as a soccer mom after all!

PS Brooke and I made dragonfly headbands for the team and they looked SOOOO cute!!! Sorry, I just had to throw that in. ;0)

First Day of School!

On Monday, Kira started her first day of Kindergarten. Yeah! She was so excited. I thought she might have a hard time when I was leaving, but the only person that was upset was Kamber, because she couldn't go to school, too! She has done great so far. . . here is a picture of her with her backpack. Again, no idea what is with the face. . . either I am a terrible photographer (very possible) or Kira just doesn't photograph very well. Anyway. . .

Today she managed to get lost. Appartently she lined up with the bus kids at the end of the day and was about to get on a bus when her teacher realized she was gone. There were several teachers out looking for her and the rest of the class couldn't be excused until she was found. That's my girl!

Yummy Summer Recipe!

http://www.bettycrocker.com/Recipes/Recipe.aspx?recipeId=9054

Yum, yum, yum! I made this with fat free sour cream and it was a pretty nutritious meal, too!

Tacky!

Okay, I am sure this is extremely tacky, but I need some encouragement to lose some of this baby weight. So, I am going to use you all to keep me going! I have a little side bar with the amount of weight I want to lose and each day I will add (hopefully never!) or subtract to it. I am hoping that with everyone I know watching my weight loss, I won't have the nerve to cheat. So, thanks for your help!

Another Baby Tidbit

Okay it seriously looks like we dyed our baby's hair. She has really dark hair, but the roots are growing in very blonde. I am so excited! Brandon was a little toe-head and I have really wanted one of our babies to be really blonde. Maybe Kendi will be that blonde for me!!!

Okay, one more. Have any of you ever tried to get your baby to sleep on their side? From my experience it is nearly impossible. They always roll onto their back. Not so with my little babe. She LOVES to be on her side. If you put her on her back, she will roll to her side. And she rolls from side to side. Yes, ALREADY ROLLING!!! Can you believe it?
