The big 5! Kira turned 5 on August 9th. She told me she wanted a suprise birthday, with a pink cake and number candle on the cake and green sprinkles. She was very specific. I am not sure if she really knew what a suprise party was, but I decided to try and suprise her. We didn't tell her it was her birthday all day and then we suprised her at the Reeves' home with a pizza party. This was the look on her face when we walked in and everyone yelled "Suprise!"
It seriously took her several minutes to figure out what was going on. Finally, she looked at me and said "I'm five now?" with complete shock and elation in her voice.
And cake, of course!
And no, I have no idea what the deal is with her smile. That's just Kira for ya!

By far the best "suprise" birthday party ever. I've never in my LIFE seen someone that suprised. I suppose it may have something to do with the fact that other people usually know that day is actually their birthday. I will never forget her face!
How fun! I can't believe how big she is! I guess it's been a while since we have seen eachother.
